Alfred Richard Baxter-Cox

Colonel Alfred Richard Baxter-Cox born in Cue, Western Australia on Sep 7, 1898. Baxter Cox was an Architect who enlisted in AIF on the 13th January. 1916 and discharged on March 7 1920.[1]
Sapper Baxter-Cox posted the 3rd Tunnelling Coy camped on Blackboy Hill, Western Australia on 29th February 1916. Embarked for service over seas 26th March 1916, appointed 2nd Lieutenant 1st May 1918 and posted to General Infantry Reinforcements. Then transferred to the 4th Battalion 14th May 1918, and was promoted to Lieutenant 28 November 1918

re-enlisted in the Australian Army on May 9, 1940. [2] While temporary Brigadier Baxter-Cox was awarded the "Commander of the Order of the British Empire" 14th June 1945.
