Alan Campbell (born 10th August 1960 in Dublin, Ireland) is a former professional football player.
He played for Shamrock Rovers,Racing de Santander (63 apps 15 goals), Logrones, Berchem Sport and Dundee FC and also played for the Republic of Ireland national football team on three occasions.
He made his Rovers debut on the 11th of October 1978 in the Leinster Senior Cup (football) and scored twice in a 5-1 win over St. Francis.
He made 4 appearances in European competition scoring once [1]
He was the League of Ireland top goalscorer in the 1979/80 season with 22 goals.
He signed for the Spanish side in August 1984 and went on to score on his debut against Sporting de Gijón on the 2nd of September.
