NEWSFLASH: According to an admin[1] it appears I am "disrupting efforts to improve Wikipedia" by opposing obsessive citation-fixation and deletionism. Fear not, I shall disrupt no longer. Alas, Wikipedia - potentially the greatest repository of information since the Alexandrian Library, being rendered increasingly irrelevant and worthless by self-appointed jobsworths by the day. DublinDilettante out.

UPDATE: It seems the untouchable admin's vendetta has been escalated to include badmouthing me to third parties. Note that my reasoned arguments are being equated to the behaviour of users who employ sockpuppets and vandalise individuals' userpages. I'd like to think this sense of world-weary lesé majesté is not widespread among Wiki admins, but impunity breeds contempt. I'm not sure if this open ridicule of users whose only wish is to further the scope and breadth of Wikipedia in accordance with its original conception is considered acceptable amongst the aforementioned jobsworths, but I fear for the project if it is.
