Air Vardar was an airline based in Skopje in Macedonia. It was supposed to start operations in September 2003 using a Fokker 100 leased from Montenegro Airlines. Services never started because of the inability of the company to obtain a flying license from the authorities in Macedonia, due to political intervention of the roling albanian party (BDI) and the monopole of the MAT (Macedonian Airlines). This evend has been acused by the international representators in Macedonia.
