Air Vardar was an airline based in Skopje in Macedonia. It was supposed to start operations in September 2003 using a Fokker 100 leased from Montenegro Airlines. Services never started because of the inability of the company to obtain a flying license from the authorities in Macedonia, due to political intervention of the roling albanian party (BDI) and the monopole of the MAT (Macedonian Airlines).
