Abele Nunatak

Abele Nunatak () is a nunatak lying 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Hutcheson Nunataks at the head of Balchen Glacier, in Marie Byrd Land. Mapped from surveys by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and U.S. Navy air photos (1959-65). Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for C.A. Abele, Jr., a member of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1933-35).
