Abelardo Fernández Antuña, pron. IPA: [aβe'laɾδo feɾ'nandeθ], (born March 19, 1970 in Gijón, Asturias), commonly known as Abelardo, is a former football player from Spain, who was known for his distinctive bald head, a style which he adopted from a relatively young age.
Abelardo played for Sporting de Gijón, FC Barcelona and Deportivo Alavés. He also played for the Spanish national football team and was a participant at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups and Euro 2000.
He was also a member of the squad that won the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
