In addition to the AM service, three FM repeater stations with the callsign 2HVR (as in Hunter Valley Radio) carry programming in Merriwa on 101.9 mHz, Murrurundi on 96.9 mHz and Muswellbrook, Scone, Aberdeen and Singleton on 105.7 mHz.
[edit] Programming
ABC Upper Hunter opts-out of ABC Newcastle programs at 6.30am for a local news bulletin presented from Muswellbrook, followed the Hunter Rural and Resources Report, and a local breakfast program, which includes another local news bulletin at 7.30am. The station rejoins the network at 7.45am. It also broadcasts The Country Hour at noon. Outside of these times, it carries ABC Newcastle programs, including Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets games.
In mid 2007, the Hunter Rural and Resources Report was made available as a podcast.
