Abadia dos Dourados

Abadia dos Dourados is a city and municipality in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

The municipality is located in the region of the Alto Paranaíba, south of the Paranaíba River and west of the Emborcação Reservoir. It is 399 km from the state capital of Belo Horizonte. It has an airport for small planes. The economy is based on agriculture and livestock raising. A secondary activity is brick and roof tile manufacturing with four large and medium size factories. In the region there is also still some small-scale diamond mining. The current president is Miguel DiHuego.
