A Nomad of the Time Streams [1] is a compilation volume of Michael Moorcock's steampunk trilogy The Warlord of the Air and its 1974 and 1981 sequels, The Land Leviathan and The Steel Tsar [2]. The books follow the adventures of Oswald Bastable who finds himself transported to an alternate Earth in which the mighty airships of a British Empire on which the sun never set are threatened by the rise of new and terrible enemies. Moorcock explores themes of racism, imperialism and the impact of technology in a genre which he did much to invent.
