[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia! Please do not remove content from articles, as you did to List of Egyptians. It may be considered as vandalism. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Also, do not simply list a name if no article on Wikipedia exists for its subject, and its notability has not been established. Thank you. — [zɪʔɾɪdəʰ] · 21:18, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello again! Actually, the List of Egyptians includes all notable Egyptians, whether ancient, medieval or modern. The two names you removed are very notable and therefore should not be deleted or replaced by subjects of unconfirmed notability. Thanks — [zɪʔɾɪdəʰ] · 21:35, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
It is standard within Wikipedia that section names start with a capital letter, but all following words are lower case (except for things like proper names). I noticed that you made a number of edits to section names, and I reverted those changes. You might consider asking before undergoing a large number of changes. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you continue to make constructive changes. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 22:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

If you look at the history of the article, you can bring up the version with your changes. Then copy the changed text that you added. Next, display the current version, and then edit the section(s) you changed and paste your changes into the article. wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 22:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:GUC_logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GUC_logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 12:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nile FM logo.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Nile FM logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:59, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] City Stars Page

Hey, I've been editing the city stars page with you and I noticed you making 2 mistakes and insisting on them.. First of all, ANY mall in the world has something called Anchor shops, these are the biggest and most important shops on the mall... We don't add names of some shops based on their classification, because u are just naming a few out of 550, which is unfair. Either include the whole list, which is impossible, or just mention the important shops. As for city stars, the anchor shops would be: Spinneys hypermarket, Virgin Megastore, Etisalat, Vodafone, Mobinil, Mango, and CompuMe. Those are the largest shops in the mall. Thats enough worth of mentioning. You could also mention that it has 2 of every coffee shop, for example 2 Starbucks coffee's and 2 Costa Cafe's. That would be more than enough.

Second point is, that you also insisted on that phase one has 200 shops... With simple mathematics, you might know that 200 + 250 = 450! And City stars actually has 550 stores. Phase one, in fact, has 300 STORES. I correct it ad you keep changing it back! I changed this right now when I edited the page, but for the anchor shops, I'll leave you to put them the way you like to. Hope to see more of your contributions soon. Yours, Moey www.infliktora.co.nr —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.138.246.115 (talk) 00:48, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey again...
So, sme3t kalamak w3amalt account :) Sure, you could explain the diversity of shops and categorize them, but you don't usually give examples, unless, like I said before, you give names of all shops, which is impossible. This doesn't clear off the rule that any mall has to have its anchor shops mentioned, so I am gonna make the changes and you check them out for yourself, and comment.
And for the coffe shops thing, I guess its kinda cool mentioning it, why not? Have you veer seen this before? Its nice...
yalla, salam now...

[edit] Talk/Muhammad/images

Don't know if you intended to move my comment in [1], but I put it back because it's answering Naeem1986's comment that the illustrations are unecessary. Cheers - MasonicDevice (talk) 20:44, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

No problem. Sleep Deprivation is a beast and an engineering student's constant companion. -MasonicDevice (talk) 21:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

I have read ur comments in discussion area about the pics of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It is shamefull that being Muslim you are have no objection on the pics. My friend I know we can not change the world but if someone is trying to abuse your religion, you should protest to let the other people know that it is against your religious beliefs, so, that other people should get clear about ur concepts. Being Muslim we love Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) more than anyone else, so, we should make other people clear that they are doing a wrong thing which only creates disturbance. We should perform our duty and if still nothing happens, GOD is enough to handle everything alone. So,you should support the Muslims in this duty and play your role instead of saying come on guys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.65.113 (talk) 11:42, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Mo'men

A tag has been placed on Mo'men, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 21:49, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mo'men

I can clearly see that this page is not something that has been pasted together within 5 minutes, but since you don't site Sources for your Notability claims, this will just qualify as an advertisement. Also, without decent sources it will not fall within The corporation notability guidelines. Please source the claims, and this article will be A-Ok :) Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 21:52, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Burger King

I have reverted your edits because under the Wikipedia guidelines for articles that have good article status, galleries are not allowed. The reason that DAJF put the gallery in was because you really mangled the layout of the article when you redid the section. Please take a look at other articles such as Pizza Hut and KFC to see how these international location sections are set up before you make any more changes such as this one.

--- Jeremy (talk) 18:30, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

That WP:IAR thing is great until it comes time to rate the article above a "B", if you do not follow the WP:MoS then you cannot get the WP:GA or WP:FA grades for any articles. Trust me on this I have been through allot to get this article to the GA status it now enjoys. There were three galleries in before the rating and I to delete all of them befor any one would certify it for GA.

[edit] City Stars Cairo

Hey, good job on the references! I'd probably give it about a B now. Most shopping centre articles are of a pretty poor standard, so this one is now looking relatively good! Keep up the good work :) Asdfasdf1231234 (talk) 19:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, under the guidelines of WikiProject Shopping Centres, you should make sure all of this is covered:

  • Planning - What was there before? Why did the design take on the attributes it did?
  • Construction - How long did it take to build? Any problems?
  • Opening - What was the grand opening like?
  • Ownership - Who owned/owns it? Were there any changes in ownership?
  • Stores - What stores were in the mall when it opened? What about later years? What anchor or other noteworthy stores are in the mall now? See Wikipedia:WikiProject Shopping Centers/Anchors and tenants for more details.
  • Renovations - Was the mall ever renovated? When? How many times was it renovated? What was changed? Does a source state why the mall was renovated?

In terms of general articles, you should attempt to reduce ambiguous/unsourced statements. For example, taking just the introduction:

City Stars is the latest commercial development in Egypt. The complex is located in between Nasr City and Heliopolis, in Cairo. It is considered to be the first, integrated urban development project, of its kind in the Middle East and Europe.

Is it actually the latest commercial development in the entire country? When was it developed? It is 'considered' by who to be the first, integrated urban development project? But you get the general idea. Just make sure any kind of not-obvious statement is sourced. Also try and convert some of the lengthy lists into prose. Good Luck. :) Asdfasdf1231234 (talk) 20:51, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of generations

{{helpme}} Can somebody see what is wrong with the tabel in List of generations? There are unused cells that shows as extra rows or something. Thanks, Abdallah (talk) 22:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Seems ok. There are cells without information in them yet but they can not be removed without messing with the formating. GtstrickyTalk or C 23:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ibn Taymiyya

Assalamu Alaykum> I know you might not know about this, but i would love to know since you are from Egypt.

There was a serial called "Ibn Taymiyyah: Shaikh-ul-Islam". It was a film i had, but lost (oops). And the actor in that video was mainly Abdallah Ghaith (from Egypt). I would like to know if I could still purchase these serials of Ibn Taymiyya, is it possible if they still sell them in Egypt? Please let me know. I really want to buy them!

Again you might not know, but I would like to be sure.

Thank You, ☆ Muzammil, مزمل ☆ (talk) 17:52, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I was very little when my father first purchased the videos (serials), he says he bought them from Egypt. Well, the most information i can give you is that Ibn Taymiyyah actor was "Abdallah Ghaith" and it was about six videos, and I think it was made in the 1970's or something like that. If you cannot do anything about this, it doesn't matter. All i really want to know is if I can still purchase them, that's all. I don't really know the producer or the country of origin, but I do know that they sold them in Egypt before. My father is not here anymore so I can't ask him anything.
