Talk:A. Crawford Mosley High School

[edit] Marching Band
Somebody should really add some information about the musical opportunities at Mosley. I wasn't in band or chorus so I don't know enough to expand the sections. Whoever added them originally did nothing more than list their names in bold. --Jhamon 03:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Football
I think Football needs to be its own article, but is it relevent? This is information that is important to the culture of the school but for an encycolopedia article? Thoughts? jczup 1:27, 29 October 2007

- I think all the emphasis we've seen on football schedules and stats seems a little silly. Presumably the only people who care about this information are the players and the relatively small audience of the Mosley community. Even among this audience, I feel like the fraction of people who are both interested in MHS football AND would turn to wikipedia for current information is vanishingly small.
-
- I don't think Mosley football merits the creation of a separate article; the historical aspects would be well placed in the existing article while some of the current statistics and schedule information probably doesn't belong in the encyclopedia at all. (see WP:NOT#STATS and WP:NOTE).
-
- I want to be able to tell people I went to Mosley High School with some pride about it's strong AP and extracurricular offerings. Somebody just glancing over this article, though, would probably get the impression that Mosley is a big football school without a lot of other things going on. This is clearly not the portrait we want to paint of our school. I think we need to pare down the information in the football section significantly while expanding the amount of quality information on other sports and extracurriculars. --ThinkGreen 19:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
