A. H. Albut

Alfred H. "Alf" Albut, more commonly known as A. H. Albut, was the first full-time Secretary of Newton Heath; the term 'manager' was not used at Manchester United until the arrival of Jack Robson. Albut was made Secretary in 1892 and remained in the post until James West took over in 1900.
