A.D.Williams Piper Malibu was a corporate jet servicing the Edmonton based engineering firm A.D. Williams Engineering. On March 28, 2008 the plane was on route from Winnipeg from Edmonton's City Centre Airport. It disappeared from radar at 8:12am north of the town of Wainwright, Alberta. Its wreckage would later be discovered 12km north of Wainright all five persons aboard were killed. Though currently unclear what caused the accident investigators know the plane broke up in mid air. The coincidence of two jets owned by the same company crashing in only five months brought up the possibility of sabotage though this crash was likely caused by mechanical failure.
