Please do not remove an {{unreferenced}} tag from an article, as you did with Range Lights, unless you solve the problem by providing references. The warning has been replaced. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 20:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

A "see also" that points to another Wikipedia article is not considered a source citation. What the article needs are citations from outside sources so that the information can be verified. It's not that I'm doubting the substance of your article — it's a good article that needed a little copy editing, nothing more — but references from independent, reliable sources are a requirement of Wikipedia articles.
If the main Lighthouse article has more detailed information about range lights than the Range Lights article, then that information needs to be moved from lighthouse to Range Lights, with a see-also link to Range Lights instead. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:58, 7 February 2008 (UTC)hat
I don't think I explained myself very well. I checked the lighthouse article to see what information there was about range lights there. It turns out that there's more detailed stuff about range lights in the lighthouse article than in the range lights article. That shouldn't be the case — the range lights article should be more detailed. It's as if an article about Eli Manning didn't have as much detailed information about Manning himself than the New York Giants article did — that's the best analogy I can come up with (especially at this late hour, sorry). So I took the extra detail out of the lighthouse article and put it into the range lights article, and put a "main article" link in the range lights section of the lighthouse article. I also removed the "See also: Lighthouses" link at the top of the rane lights article, as there is already a link to the lighthoue article in the first or second paragraph, so it's redundant.
If any of the changes I've made have made either article factually inaccurate, let me know so we can fix it. If it's a matter of style or something like that, I'll try to explain better what I'm trying to do.
By the way, don't forget to sign in when you post messages or make edits on Wikipedia. IP addresses can often be used by multiple people, but a user name cannot. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 07:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
