[edit] London Theatre of Ballroom
Hi Jreferee, I have no idea if this is the correct place to be writing this but the procedure is so complex ! As it happens, London Theatre of Ballroom does keep press articles - especially from the first 3 years or so of its existence. 'Dance scource' requested some information from me to set up the entry and I have now emailed them to to tell them of the deletion and to tell them to send you the clippings along with their reasons for putting LTB on Wikipedia in the first place. I would say, that the two scources you have found are two of the biggest newspapers in the United Kingdom - one of them in the World ! So, given that I am the Artistic Director of the company in question - and combine that with my own scource material (Warner, Fox, Disney, Harry Potter, BBC, IMDB, Dance UK, blah, blah, - even Wikipedia itself), one wonders how reliable the scource material needs to be before it warrants an entry on Wikipedia ! I am the choreographer of what is currently (August 2007), the biggest movie in the World - and London Theatre of Ballroom is my company and the base from which I launch all of my dance activities. As such, it is mentioned in many internet biographies of me and they are very reliable scources. It is an entity that exists - and in the World of Dance it occupies a very unique place. Regards. Paul Harris.
Hi Paul. It appears that London theatre of ballroom was deleted because there was not enought reliable source material that was independent of the London Theatre of Ballroom to maintain a Wikipedia article on the topic. I did a search and found a mention in two newspaper articles: (1) Gledhill, Ruth. (May 8, 1999) The Times Being a fast mover matters;Interview;Heather Clark. Section: Features; Page 2 (offered a job with the London Theatre of Ballroom); (2) Groskop, Viv. (May 6, 2001) Express (UK) People think I'm a heroine doctor but I still cry when I see Animal Hospital. Dr Heather Clark saved a man's life by operating on him in a pub but this livewire medic, skilled dancer, TV pundit and extreme sports fanatic says she's just ordinary. (noting that Heather Clark was a dancer with the London Theatre of Ballroom.). However, this is not enought information to maintain a Wikipedia article on the London theatre of ballroom. If the London theatre of ballroom maintains its press clippings, information from those clippings may be usable in a Wikipedia article on the London Theatre of Ballroom. If you need assistance with this, please let me know. -- Jreferee (Talk) 06:54, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
