[edit] Warning

Changing what a user says about him/herself is considered vandalism. If you persist, you will be blocked. This is your last warning. Crum375 (talk) 00:00, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe that's true. Please point me to the relevant section: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Vandalism#Types_of_vandalism.

[edit] Blocked

I have blocked you for repeated vandalism. Please read the section about modifying other users' comments. If a user says something about him/herself, especially in their own user space, you can politely inquire about it, but you may not repeatedly modify their own statements. Your repeated vandalism also suggests WP:POINT violation. Crum375 (talk) 01:10, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "It's not vandalism as defined anywhere in WP:VAN. I have read the section about modifying other user's comments: "Adding insults, profanity, etc. to user pages or user talk pages (see also Wikipedia:No personal attacks)". This is manifestly not what I did. I have read WP:USER which states "In general, if you have material that you do not wish for others to edit... it should be placed on a personal web site" which implies that users should accept other people editing their user pages. As for WP:POINT, I made a constructive edit, engaged in discussion here and on the relevant talk page. I don't think this represents nuisance behaviour to prove a point. So I'm requesting an unblock. 84.65.202.138 (talk)"

Decline reason: "It's generally bad form to edit other people's userpages without their permission, but you would not have been blocked if you hadn't repeatedly reverted after you realized that other users didn't agree with your change. That's edit warring, and it's a good thing to avoid. But you'll be welcome to continue editing here when your block expires. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:55, 9 December 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.
