[edit] An account?

I'm curious...why don't you create an account? I know some editors choose not to, but I confess to never really understanding why. Care to share? --mordicai. 22:13, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

I have one. I'm happy enough not to use it. 81.104.175.145 01:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
PS - bugzilla:9213 sucks :( 81.104.175.145 01:59, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that is partially why I can't imagine going anon- the perks of being logged in. Not to mention that I'm not on the pure-anonymous-contribution-is-best team; I do think users need screening, to some degree. --mordicai. 17:39, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Euro I to Euro VI

Hi, are you going to include the information from the redirected pages into the main article ? did i miss a discussion here ? whats the reason for the action ? In short, the setup was correct, each template contains a line of information regarding the Euro level, i couldn't find a way to strip the other lines from the template reg. [edit] Diff

A diff of when you pretended to be me can be found here, there are a couple of others if you wish. The Sunshine Man 16:03, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

That diff is patently not "me pretending to be you". 81.104.175.145 16:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure, glad to see the situation has calmed down. The Sunshine Man 16:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Utopian image

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on Utopia (Doctor Who). Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from editing. - Alison 10:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

WP:USER: if you remove warnings, it's accepted that you read them. Fair enough - and {{AIV}} still applies!--Rambutan (talk) 11:33, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Ok - both of you need to stop this exchange of boilerplate warnings and get on with editing articles. Both of you have been warned. Keep it up and both of you will end up being blocked - Alison 11:37, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Stop it already. Last chance. Note that talk pages of anon editors are not your space. Once more and you're blocked for disruption. Other guy got the same treatment and has now stopped - Alison 11:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
So saying that being branded rude is disruptive now? I don't see any determination of it failing #8 - in fact, Sandifer makes a good point - it's Jacobi in character, which is adequately explained in the article, or at least in Derek Jacobi. Will (talk) 15:09, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
I actually did pay attention to #8. Please can you stop messaging my talk page. It's irritating me, and I've got a short temper these days. Will (talk) 15:35, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Get an account?

Nick has a point there. Have you thought about getting an account? At the very least, it will discourage those who wish to use WP:RPP to block you from contributing? - Alison 12:11, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Leeroy Jenkins

Thanks for the help on this; aren't the people who use that page to advertise their lame parodies annoying? - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 23:19, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Airport

Look i'm not arguing, just trying to get my point across. South Wales is served by Cardiff Airport. That's why it is there. If people choose to fly from Bristol, then that's up to then but Bristol was built to serve South West England. It's like saying, some people from South Wales fly from Heathrow which means Heathrow serves South Wales. See what I mean? Welshleprechaun 23:01, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CIVIL and Consensus

Hi 81!

Hey, there appears to be some confusion on the Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions page; you've recently switched out some of the text, and while a few editors are supportive of a change of the wording, your revision seems confusing and doesn't (at this time) appear to have a great deal of support. I've listed my reservations on the talk page, and hope you will respond in a civil manner. However, you have reverted several times, and your short history of contributions seems to contain a good deal of incivility, including threats like "in doing so have inspired an irrepressible urge within me to cause extreme physical pain to your person". This does not appear to be the only example of gross incivility in your month or so of contributions, and I'm seeing a trend. Please remain civil, and consider toning down your wording when dealing with other editors, even during "important" AFD discussions. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 01:26, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 24 hours as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our polices concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Blocking admin is involved in dispute, accusation of disruption and harassment are patently false, and the "evidence" presented is clearly not representative"

Decline reason: "In the future, please be civil and avoid edit warring. — Vassyana 02:02, 20 June 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

[edit] Fishguard Harbour railway station

The text you removed here is both accurate (there is a 15mph restriction into the station due to the crossing - this is confirmed by the Network Rail sectional appendix) and relevant (the crossing is right on the end of the platform). I agree that the previous edit you removed, stating that it was the only crossing, was inaccurate, which is why I rephrased it.

Incidentally, what part of Wikipedia:Template namespace states that a template such as {{stnlnk}} should be substituted? There are many such templates (such as {{tl}} in this message) which are not. – Tivedshambo (talk) 17:29, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] BTW...

MFD for Cruftcruft created as subpage - I saw your comments on the talk page requesting its creation and made a procedural nomination on that basis. Orderinchaos 05:36, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fishguard and Stourbridge

I'll concede on the Fishguard article - it was more the level crossing than the speed restriction that I thought was notable, though there are several other stations with adjacent crossings so maybe that isn't worth mentioning either. However I have reverted the map on the Stourbridge line article, for reasons I've explained on the talk page. If you disagree, feel free to air your opinions on the same page, so that some consensus can be reached. Thanks. – Tivedshambo (talk) 22:24, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ftr

A poll is currently being conducted at Talk:Ftr#Requested move to decide whether to move the article to FTR (bus). Your input would be appreciated. --Jorvik 10:20, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
