Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in MediaWiki talk:Recentchangestext. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 01:23, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I see you seem to have trouble playing well with others. I am going to watch your contributions for a while. If I see any more of the nonsense you posted in Hex, you will be sitting in the corner, blocked again. Have a splendid day, sport. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 23:56, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image talk:7-segment cdeg.svg

A tag has been placed on Image talk:7-segment cdeg.svg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion G1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.OsamaK 13:11, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] November 2007

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Jennifer Lopez. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. - eo (talk) 19:41, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] January 2008

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to 1910s in fashion. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Bazzargh (talk) 13:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I wish someone could tell me how to communicate in private with you. The last edit I made was in some Malherbe entries, so those other vandals were not me. What I find to be an "unconstructive" and perverse form of vandalism is to use authority to insist on retaining WRONG information based on documental errors: if you found a drawing of a miniskirt dress dated 1870 would you rather believe that "proof" or a sensible expert? I know it was notr the proper way to edit, but I wanted to tell you that it was wrong. The only reason you could give to retain that piece of wrong information is that it was already there, but you didn't give any documental proof of its validity, and the only difference with my edit in that respect is that you were "formally" acceptable, while being actually, informatively unacceptably wrong, and in my case it was the other way round: someone who knows about the topic and not just about wikipolicy knows that part of the article is ridiculously wrong.

I happen to agree with you that the picture looks wrong, the way you phrased your edits is what attracted the vandalism tag. I've been checking up on that image since I did the revert, its no longer up at the Conde Nast archive but does appear to be misdated - the hat's attributed to Lucienne of Reboux, but the french article on Reboux says that Lucienne only started working there in 1920. If the pic dates from after 1923 it needs to be removed as a copyright violation anyway. BTW to talk to someone, just click on the 'talk' next to their signature and type an edit. I won't bite. --Bazzargh (talk) 13:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
What's more the pic is of Lady Abdy who would have been 12 in 1919. The date is definitely wrong. --Bazzargh (talk) 13:34, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
