[edit] Sulphur / sulfur

Thank you for your interest in the mustard gas article. Unfortunately, I decided to roll back your changes. My reasoning is as follows: all but one of your changes was to change the US spelling "sulfur" to "sulphur". This, in itself, is fine (Wikipedia accepts both US and British spellings, so long as they are used consistently within an article). However, the official IUPAC variation is "sulfur", and therefore this is the preferred spelling (see Sulphur#Spelling). :) – ClockworkSoul 22:09, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 72.137.243.234). • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.

[edit] Style

Regarding the page Human urine, you have been making a lot of relatively harmless edits which are in contravention of conventional style and formatting. In particular, you have linked to the same article twice from one page, have changed American to British spellings (which is discouraged, as both are permitted on Wikipedia), and have created some inappropriate links (i.e. linking to the page in). Have a look at WP:Style. Thanks. Niffweed17 23:30, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blue-water navy

Hey, thanks for writing. You unknowingly acknowledge the problem with labeling Canada a blue-water navy in your post: "It assisted in Enduring Freedom." Blue-water navies have to operate for long periods of time independently, not as a part of other task forces. Taking your criterion, there would be many blue-water navies out there, like the Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and so on and so forth. Also, just a sense of intuition reveals that Canada's naval forces are on a different level from the capabilities possessed by the American, British, and French navies. Canada has not conducted significant naval operations in recent history (alone, that is).UberCryxic 19:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Royal Navy (disambiguation)

Hello and welcome to wikipedia! While we appreciate the enormous amount of work you put [1] into the Royal Navy (disambiguation) page, our guidelines in the Manual of Style specify that only the terms being disambiguated are linked on disambiguation pages. As such, I was forced to revert your changes and return the article to its previous state. You may wish to peruse the help pages before making other major changes. --Kralizec!
