ok. I own a very large reference site called LearnAboutMoviePosters.com. We have spent over 30 years of collecting, 10 years teaching, authored the only 2 reference books on the topic and spent the last 6 years buiding a huge reference site on the subject.
We are basically THE library for the movie poster collecting hobby with thousands and thousands of pages of free reference to help educate the public about movie poster collecting. We also have the only online archive with over 50,000 movie posters online and cross referenced with studios, directors, etc.
No, we're not the monster site that YOU are... but we still get 8-10,000 collectors a day coming on our websites.
I was looking for some information on an early film studio and came to Wikipedia to see if there was any info here on them only to find that people have been stealing our information and images in bulk and putting over here on Wikipedia...... I don't mind anyone using our information OR even taking large amounts but at least give us the credit for it. I went on one title and they had even taken the studio logos through the years and put them on your site. We're the only site that runs down studio logos through the years to combine with lithographer plate numbers to help auction houses date older posters that are otherwise undated.
When I clicked on it to see more.... there was a message to me FROM YOU.... stating to STOP SPAMMING WIKIPEDIA.... I haven't been spamming ANYBODY..... people are taking from our site to put on yours .... and then you accuse me of spamming
yes, I was quite upset at the time... But it did help me to realize that I have to protect our 'Advanced' information and personal interviews more so I have already started limiting access to it... Everyone can still get access to all the thousands of pages of general information... so I would guess that it will all probably wind up on YOUR site...

- Are you saying that copyrighted images were taken from your site and up-loaded here? If so, give me the details and I'll follow it up. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:42, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
