[edit] edits to Cichlid

Your edits to Cichlid have been reverted. You've been asked previously (on many occasions) not to make these changes without references and discussion with other editors. Please feel free to discuss the changes you'd like to see to the cichlid article at Talk:Cichlid but please, do not make these assertions again without references and consultation with fellow editors. [edit] Numbers of cichlid species

I'm not sure that the changes you are making are being made in good faith. You've been repeatedly asked to discuss or reference your change, but you ignored all requests. Previous IPs this user has been using are available here.

[edit] vandalic changes to the cichlid article

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the cichlid page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. MidgleyDJ 02:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Undescribed species

Please do not add "numbers" of undescribed species to articles on fish genera. Undescribed species are just that - undescribed. We dont know that they are new species and this isnt the place to speculate (see: Wikipedia's policy on original research here: WP:OR). If you'd like to discuss this matter feel free to add a note to any of the relevant talk pages!. Cheers MidgleyDJ 08:11, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cichlid

Please stop adding your own favoured estimates of cichlid diversity *unless* you have a legitimate reference to back it up. If you have a scientific article that says there are 2000 species of cichlid, then please add the reference. Otherwise, stop. I think there are fairies living at the end of my garden. But unless I can find a published article reporting this, I cannot add it to a Wikipedia article about gardens. Likewise, unless you have a paper or book to back up your assertion, please leave it out. Thanks so much, Neale Neale Monks 16:00, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR Warning

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Cichlid. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.

Please note that I am fully aware that you are familiar with Wikipedia's 3RR policy due to your previous blocks for edit warring on the same article when editing with the IP address 69.232.73.33, but I am repeating this for your benefit. Please stop now. Neil916 (Talk) 18:11, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
