[edit] Thanks!

Hi 68,

Thank you very much for adding these early achievements to the WikiProject Dinosaurs achievements page. Much abliged. Happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 21:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Titanic achievements

Np. Since you've made admin since the last time we interacted, you could even merge titanosaur and Titanosauridae(redirect bypass) if you feel the urge to clean up that old messy cut & paste move ;). | Pat 13:45, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Pat!
Nice to see you active again, under a fresh IP. I've performed a history merge on Titanosaur and Titanosauridae; now Titanosaur has the full article history, which anyone can view. I didn't know this had happened, or I would have fixed it six or seven months ago when I first had the admin tools. Thanks for the tip. Thanks also for improving the WP:DINO achievements page; I like the new look. Happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 22:10, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar
Pat, for your dedicated work on a great number of dinosaur articles, both under this IP and under earlier ones, I'd like to award you this barnstar. Thank you for your many contributions. Firsfron of Ronchester 16:34, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
The irony of awarding a barnstar to an IP editor who can't, you know, add it to his own userpage is not lost on me. I've moved the pages, as you requested, though this created some double redirects which should be fixed. I agree that Wikipedia's coverage of dinosaurs has greatly improved over the past year or so: there's a dedicated team working night and day, and a few of them are pros, so that helps, too. You obviously can't create new articles anymore, but you're certainly welcome to greatly expand any of the short ones or participate in the Dinosaur collaboration. [edit] Peabody Museum links

Feel free to make the changes yourself since you are familiar with which is the appropriate link. — ERcheck (talk) 03:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I missed the protection. (If you register, you can edit yourself; but, I note from your talk page that you've been a long time editor and thus far have chosen not to register a username.) I made link change to the Peabody at Yale vs the disambiguation page. I noticed that on the David A. Yeagley page, the Peabody Museum reference was for an exhibit Yeagley had there in the past. Checking the article's references, I find that the only reference to verify this is Yeagley's own site. Do you have an independent, reliable source (see WP:Verify)? — ERcheck (talk) 00:09, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
I must say — I'm impressed. Finding the NYT reference to the 1989 exhibit is great. I added it as a citation to the the Yeagley article. — ERcheck (talk) 03:03, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Benjamin Franklin Mudge

Updated DYK query On 7 April 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Benjamin Franklin Mudge, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

[edit] Ediacaran biota

Hi, I noticed you've been doing some tidying to the Ediacaran biota article. I've spent the last few days drafting together a replacement to the article, which you can view User:Verisimilus/Ediacara here - I'd appreciate any comments on the nearly-complete version which I'm hoping to put out today. A full rationale of replacement will follow!
Your edits have improved the previous article rather, but (having become quite attached to my version!) I still feel mine to be an improvement...

Comments are more than welcome!

Cheers

[edit] Thanks!

Thanks for your comments! Seems I somewhat underestimated the length of the previous article. I'll have a look at your suggestions for wikification... Tedious but satisfying work, I imagine?
Cheers

Ah! So it's 'name' that makes the references work! I'd been trying 'id' and getting frustrated... thanks for tidying those!Verisimilus 15:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
