Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. ~ Infrangible 02:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your editing
Please stop adding pointless, careless, and uncited edits to Nantes and Château des ducs de Bretagne. Thank you. Schcambo 17:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please see Talk:Nantes before you make any further changes. Schcambo 10:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Nantes, you will be blocked from editing. for failing to discuss changes and removing appropriate tags and reinstating clear advertising links Michellecrisp 00:43, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
There has never been lack of discussion, pointless articles, blank out or advertising links so please stop annoying the users with those pointless discussions and i'm asking YOU to stop deleting certain section in the article.
Thank you
- My edit summaries give clear justification for changes. For example, you cannot put advertising links as per WP:ADVERT. You have failed to gain any consensus for your changes (some of which contravenes Wikipedia policy). You have been now reported to an Administrator for this behaviour, as you have been warned previously. Michellecrisp 04:14, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Nantes. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Michellecrisp 05:05, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Final warning
Please stop assuming ownership of articles such as Nantes. Doing so may lead to disruptive behavior such as edit wars and is a violation of policy, which may lead to a block from editing. Nantes Michellecrisp 03:34, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
| | This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
