[edit] Edit-warring

When you disagree with other editors, the right thing to do is to discuss the disagreement on the talk page, and work it out together. You can see from the talk page of Churches of Christ that many of the issues you disagree about have already been discussed at length, and the version that's up right now has been painfully built over a period of months by many people working together. If you have a change you'd like to make, come and discuss it on the talk page, working with one section at a time, explaining why you think the change should be made and presenting the sources that support the change. You may even come up with a version that everyone, including yourself, is happy with. Just reverting the changes you want, trying to force them through, is against the rules, and you can be blocked from editing for failing to successfully cooperate with others even when you disagree very strongly. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Churches of Christ. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Please use the talk page to discuss changes to the article. Revert warring is considered highly disruptive to Wikipedia and extremely counterproductive. Thank you. Also, please do not remove sourced content without first discussing it with other editors. Wisdom89 (T / C) 01:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:04, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] It's time to stop now

Consensus has decided that the article titled Churches of Christ is about the non-instrumental branch of the tradition, and the independent Churches of Christ have a separate article. I agree with you that this isn't an entirely appropriate title, and suggested a title change, but since consensus went against me, I refrain from trying to just force through my point of view. You will stop, too. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 02:55, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

As I said, consensus just doesn't agree with you and I about the title of this article; there are two separate articles for the two separate branches of the Churches of Christ, and deleting references to the independent Christian Churches is just going to get you blocked. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 02:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
