[edit] miles (km)

I've noticed you have changed some miles (km) > km (miles). Please note that by convention we follow the UK practice of using miles first. Distances from London are also noted from Charing Cross (as the UK convention) rather than "Central London" or "London" as this can cause confusion as these terms are ill-defined. [edit] miles (km)

Just a quick note to remind you that articles about places in the UK use local measurements first i.e. miles then (km). Thanks. Mrsteviec 18:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] miles (km)

Please consider following the advice of my earlier messages and use the convention of miles first (and km second). Many of your contributions are genuinely helpful and wanted; but insisting on applying this personal perference is creating more work for other editors and is counter productive. [edit] European Union

Thanks for the edits on European Union. I however wanted to point you to the Manual of style for Wikipedia that has guides for section headings. In particular, the section heading changes you did not only go against the MOS but also clash with other section headings in that article. If you would be so kind as to repair them I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Syrthiss 11:44, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Your change to the page José Mourinho was determined to be unhelpful and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any tests you want to do. [edit] November 2006

Thank you for your edits to Emerald. However replacing period with full stop for no reason than national stylistic variation of English violates Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National_varieties_of_English. Given that other words/phrases in the article are written with the American spelling (eg color) it makes sense to leave the entire article in that national format.

Hello, I made the change to Emerald, but the others are nothing to do with me!

[edit] miles (km)

Please acknowledge what Mrsteviec has previously said on this page, and adhere to the convention of using miles first. It is unhelpful to other editors to make such changes, as this usage is common practice, despite being against your personal preference, and will only be reverted when come across. Please listen to this, and use your editing skills in a more constructive way. Maramotus 17:27, 12 December 2006 (GMT)

As I've said above, I changed Emerald, but the miles/kms are nothing to do with me. I always use Imperial measurements!

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to History of Arsenal F.C. (1886–1966). Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Eliz81(talk)(contribs) 21:50, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
