They go to Aang's home, the Southern Air Temple. They met people that live on the island of one of Aang's past lives, and meet old friends like Bumi and past lives like Roku and Kyoshi [1.3-1.8]. They meet some new enimies, new traitors, and new friends like Jet and The Blue Spirit, and some pirates. [1.9-1.13]. They get their fortune told, [1.14] and get meet Sokka and Katara's father's close friend Bato, [1.15] and they even find a possible Firebending teacher! [1.16] They go to the Northern Air Temple. They don't find Air Nomads but they defeat some Fire Nation. [1.17] They find a Waterbending master so Aang can learn. At first Katara gets disregarded then accepted later. [1.18-1.20]

[edit] Book 2: Earth

In this book, Aang has to go through many problems like a crazy general, new person Zuko's sister Azula, and fight a swamp person but they also re-met Bumi [2.1-2.4]. They get Aang in jail acidentally too by using Water Tribe money (and not Earth Kingdom money) [2.5] They meet a new member of the Avatar family, Toph [2.6]. Zuko gets infuriated with Iroh and desides to run away from him while he has flashbacks of his younger days [2.7]. Katara and Toph have some problems later on [2.8]. Toph finally trains Aang how to do Earthbending although he has major difficulties with being working with his oppisite element. He finally Earthbends when Toph extra-encourages him by "showing his ground" to a giant moose-lion [2.9]. Then Sokka decides to go to the library that shows a hint on how to defeat the Fire Nation: a solar eclipse. While everyone is in the library, Toph is with Appa. She feels the library sinking and tries to stop it which lets a type of Earthbenders called Sandbenders get Appa, Toph does attempt to get him to stay [2.10]. Aang gets furious about that, while everyone else (and Aang...) try to escape the desert they are in [2.11]. Then, to get to Ba Sing Se to tell the Earth King about the solar eclipse, they have to cross the deadly Serpents' Pass and they remeet Suki [2.12]. They finally get to Ba Sing Se safely when a Fire Nation drill attempts to break Ba Sing Se's wall, which they do...for a tiny bit [2.13]. They do make it in the city, and when they do, Toph and Aang don't like it. Toph's been here before and Aang was taught never to go here because they had a different way to live. No one does after a while either. They find out Ba Sing Se has no war and Team Avatar is not allowed as honored guests but as a watched problem [2.14]. They try to make the visit enjoyable by doing seperate fun tasks for the day: KT take a girl's day out; A rounds up animals; S makes a poetry competition; I helps people out; Z goes on a date. [2.15] Appa's story is shown. In 2.10, he was taken away, in 2.11 he is sold to Ba Sing Se, in 2.12 and possibly 2.13 he is in a Fire Nation show, in 2.13 and 2.14 he finds friends and decides to make his way to Ba Sing Se, in 2.15 he lands and gets trapped in the Dai Li's headquarters [2.16]. Team Avatar remeets Jet who helps find the Dai Li's headquarters meanwhile Zuko finds Appa, and lets him free. Appa is found [2.17]! Tbey find the Earth King, who at first things the war is fake, but finds out it is not. Inwith that, the Earth King allows the solar eclipse plan to take action [2.18]. Aang recives a message to gain control of the Avatar state, Sokka sees his dad, Toph gets captured. In gaining the Avatar state, Aang must unlock his 7 chakras. He unlocks 6 and relocks the 7th in instead of chosing spiritual matters, chosing Katara (earthly attachments)[2.19]. Aang travels back to the Earth Kingdom finding Katara. Zuko changes, and after getting everyone back, a 2-on-2 Avatar vs. Royalty (which changes into 2-on-over 100 Avatar vs. Royalty and Dai Li) battle kills Aang for the 2nd time. Katara brings him back to life with spcial healing water but...sadly the Earth Kingdom has falling with Azula in charge. [2.20] Zuko decides to travel home with Azula, Team Avatar (-Avatar) get on a boat with Sokka's father. to get Aang fully back to life.

[edit] Book 3: Fire

By the beginning of Book 3, Aang has his third life. He has a intense scar on his back, and is semiunconsious. He is thinking that he has to do everything on his own now. But soon he learns he doesn't need to. [3.1] He also gets Fire Nation children to enjoy themselves (which is against the rules, kind of...) and also shows Fire Nation people to turn against the war in some matters [2.2-2.3]. Sokka gets a sword instead of using his boomeraang. [2.4] Zuko enjoys himself with "Team Azula" and grows and destroys and regrows his love with Mai (in one night). Team Azula also learns all about each other: That Mai has emotions, that Ty Lee was one of many children, more about Zuko's exile, and that Azula even had sadness: Sadness that her mother hated her, even thought of Azula as a monster.[2.5] Aang and Zuko both learn about Avatar Roku and Fire Lord Sozin. They learn that Roku and Sozin were friends, but were enimies when Sozin mensions "spreading" the Fire Nation. Roku dies trying to protect his town from the volcano, which Sozin could have saved. Afterward Sozin goes to "spread" the Fire Nation which to him was destroying towns and making Fire Nation of it [2.6].
