From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Ashlee Simpson. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --Yamla 03:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding commercial or personal-website links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. --Yamla 03:30, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

The links above clearly say that blogs are a violation of Wikipedia rules. Please stop posting links to this blog. CSZero 18:30, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use Wikipedia for advertising your personal website, as you did in Danger Hiptop, Audioslave, WAVM and others you will be blocked from editing. PLease see External link spamming for Wikipedia guidelines on the subject. -- DrunkenSmurf 13:38, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
