Avenue de l'opera
Hi, there is not much place in the edit summary so I write it here. I deleted a sentence saying that the avenue de l'opéra is also known as the rue Le Peletier, which is absolutely untrue : the rue Peletier is another street. It also purported that the avenue de l'opéra is also known as the passage de l'opéra, that would be surprising indeed, as avenue means large street and passage means very narrow street. I also deleted the assertion that the galleries lafayette and le Printemps are in the area. This is not really wrong but they are on the Boulevard Haussmann, which has also an article, so I don't see the point to write about them in this particular article. Finally, I wrote the coordinates, which can hardly be vandalism. So could you please unrevert my version ?
Phoenix Film & Television Productions
Yes, it looks like spam to me, but what are you doing removing the author's hangon tag and then recreating the article as Phoenix Film? Ros0709 (talk) 16:36, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Just seen the change you made to the speedy on Phoenix Film - :-) . Note the bit about the hangon tag for the future, though - you shouldn't have removed that. Discussing with the author on the talk page as you did subsequently was the right thing to do. An admin will look at the author's reasoning before deciding whether to speedy delete, and if it stays consider nominating for deletion. Ros0709 (talk) 16:59, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Hi, I undid your reversion on this page. The information move was the consensus result of a RfC on talk:Collective Punishment. If you feel it is unbalanced, please feel free to edit it, but please do not wholesale remove it. Thanks. M1rth (talk) 23:14, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Considering I've only made 8 user talk posts today to a total of 4 people (8/6 if and only if you count adding the appropriate template to a sockpuppetteer's talk page and a cleanup on my own) "a jillion" seems a bit much. No, I'm not canvassing, merely communicating with people. I suspect, as per Hanlon's Razor and WP:AGF, that your antivandal app is poorly programmed and you're failing to research what's going on before you revert. M1rth (talk) 23:26, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Templating
Hi. There's probably a template somewhere that says this ;) but when communicating with a user who is not a blatant vandal/troll, it's best to leave a personal message rather than a generic template. (The exception would be pro forma notifications of deletion discussions and the like.) Using a template in the case of Physicman123 is only going to serve to inflame the situation. What we want to do is to communicate our core content policies (WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NOR, etc) and if the content that he wants to add is not original research and can be properly sourced, then we have gained a knowledgeable editor and an article that we would not otherwise have. Thank you--B (talk) 23:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
RE:Er...
Um, I'm not exactly sure why you would have brought it to WP:UAA, since that page is for usrenames you believe should immediately be deleted, and making a username redirect for non roman characters is merely suggested as per Wikipedia:U, but I went ahead and did it anyway, since you asked. Cheers! PecoPeco (talk) 04:34, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Huggle Category Problem
Hi there. You are receiving this message from me as you have not added your huggle category correctly. At the moment on category here you can see that you are sorted under tyhe letter U. To fix this please change the [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle]] to [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle|YOURNICKNAMEHERE]]. This will fix the problem. If you do not change this within a few days then i will do this for you but i would prefer to send you a message like this than just go and change your page. Revert on Martin Taylor
Hi, i was just wondering why you reverted the edits made by 85.142.226.26 to Martin Taylor (footballer born 1979)? This article has been vandalised alot in the past few weeks. But his/her edit seemed genuine to me, as did his/her source. Thanks TheProf | Talk 17:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately Sepp did say that. One of his worse comments. Could'nt believe it when i heard it on Sky Sports News! I mean, why did he have to drag it back up like that!? Yet another question
{{helpme}} What is an acceptable level of experience when considering an RfA, and what would be an acceptable time for me to do so? Two One Six Five Five τ ʃ 13:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- That is a loaded question. I would suggest two answers:
first ask your question over at the talk page of WP:RFAand check out WP:ADCO. GtstrickyTalk or C 14:11, 12 March 2008 (UTC) - <edit conflict -- answered at the same time>
- It appears there is no easy answer to this question. Different levels of experience and different times are acceptable for different people. I think the main thing is that you have a proven track record and are able to convince those reviewing your RfA that you deserve it. You might want to look at the following links for more insight:
- WP:RFA#Nomination_standards
- WP:GRFA#General_advice_for_nominees (especially this)

Vandalism?!
Why are you templating a user with a level-2 vandalism warning when there is no clear vandalism involved? I notice this isn't the first time you've been asked a question along these lines. Seems a bit WP:BITEY to me unless I'm missing something. —Wknight94 (talk) 21:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- If you were a new user starting out slowly, playing with categories, and someone used a form letter to call you a vandal, would you really care if the person was using WP:HUGGLE? I think not. —Wknight94 (talk) 01:48, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

How-to tag
Hi, you just added a how-to tag to the glossary of ballet. Wikipedia is not an how-to, granted, but sometimes to describe how a pose looks like there is need to go into the specific, especially because ballet is visual and words are not a match to describe all the possibilities in a 3d space. A glossary should offer the readers the possibility to identify something - and if something is really complex, so its description will be complex. If I had had to write a how-to on arabesque, I would also have talked about the actual technique (straight leg, tensed bent back, engaged muscles, etc) and the difference between the different schools. There is a thin line between dictionary and how-to, however I do not think I have crossed it. If you do not agree with my writing style (but ehi, is it an encyclopedia???), then feel free to change the wording... Gioland71 (talk) 16:11, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Ronald Kessler
Well, who can ever tell for sure? But the user has identified themselves as Ronald Kessler several times in the past and refers to Ronald Kessler in first person. Basically he's been warned about conflict of interest and autobiographies before, but has managed to just stay on the right side of the line. Unfortunately this is where it may turn bad. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you!
Thank you for the barnstar. By the way, I was wondering if you would be interested in me nominating you for adminship. I noticed all the work you do, and I would think that you would benefit from having some extra tools. Please post your reply on my talk page. Cheers, Glacier Wolf 21:25, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hey there, just FYI, I have left you a question at your RfA. Take your time answering. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 23:24, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Withdrawal
I'm kindly advising you that it would be in your best interests to withdraw your RfA, to avoid a pile-on and more criticism. I feel that if you withdraw now and work on the issues raised, in a few months you will easily breeze through. Sincerely, EJF (talk) 23:33, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Don't feel disheartened or beat yourself up about it; it's OK, lots of admins failed their first RfA. Take a break and evaluate, and come back whenever you feel you're ready. We need you — there is still a lot more vandalism than there are Hugglers :) Best regards, EJF (talk) 23:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Your RfA
I'm sorry to hear that you had to close your RfA. That seems to happen a lot lately. I have come to bother you with a suggestion (if you would like to try again): I say try to get more Wikispace edits. Other than that, you're sure to pass. Happy editing, Basketball110 Go Longhorns! 23:45, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- If you would like my two-bits, it seems that as long as RFA exists, there will always be someone who finds something to complain about. If I wanted to do an RfA, they would say I have an attitude problem (compared to some of the admins? Ha!), or that I don't create enough articles, or that I don't block enough. Go figure. Anyway, sorry to hear that you withdrew your RfA. If you ever want me to nominate you again, just let me know! Cheers, Glacier Wolf 23:49, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
