2008-2010 European Nations Cup First Division
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2008-2010 Europan Nations Cup First Division will be the 7th edition of the championship since it was reformed in 2000. The championship will not only determine the champions of the ENC but it will also act as an element of European qualification for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
The top two teams will qualify automatically for the Rugby World Cup, whilst the third placed team will enter the European qualification play-offs. These play-offs will be between Champions of lower ENC divisions. The winners will go on to play the American 3 Qualifier for the last place in the World Cup Finals.
This season will see Germany in the First Division for the first time since the divisional system was created, replacing Czech Republic who were relegated to Division 2A.
