1982 UK Snooker Championship

The 1982 Coral UK Championship took place at the Guildhall, Preston from 20 November with TV stages shown on BBC TV took place between 27 November and 4 December 1982.

Terry Griffiths won his first and only UK Championship, by winning the last 3 frames to beat Alex Higgins 16–15, in a famous final. He also beat defending champion Steve Davis, who had beaten him in the previous UK Championship final on his way to victory.
