The 1959 FIBA World Championship was an international basketball competition hosted by Chile from January 16 to 31, 1959. Amaury Antônio Pasos was named the MVP.

[edit] Best Basketball Player of the World

During the 1959 FIBA World Championship in Chile, Juan "Pachín" Vicens was declared to be the Best Player of the World [1] while NBA legends like Oscar Robertson , Amaury Pasos and Jerry West also played in that tournament.[1]
