[edit] Timbaland

What do we see at the talk page you're refering to? I don't see anything that justifies your revert. I see a Wikipedia-IP-User who claims that there are certain facts in music history, established by some mad music scientists or whatever, and all other things are just "subjective opinions" by some critics. That's bull–. —Bender235 (talk) 12:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

No, that would be fact. "Objective" statements are those which are true for any observer, such as "this room is 92 degrees Farenheit," or "Timbaland has produced twelve number-one singles." "Subjective" statements are those which rely on personal perspective, such as "This room is warm," or "Timbaland is the most influential producer since Brian Eno." See the difference? I'm really not trying to condescend here - you seem to be having some honest confusion about what the terms mean. And why do you use "IP-User" as though it were an insult? 138.23.246.11 (talk) 15:25, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Ignore all rules. Read this, realize this, and always remember this. It doesn't matter what WP:LEAD says or what you think it says, because it might say something completely different tomorrow than it does today. The rules always change in Wikipedia. ––Bender235 (talk) 02:13, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
That does not apply in this case. IAR is a policy to handle exceptional circumstances. This isn't one. In addition, five other editors have now chimed in, at your particular request, and informed you that this is not simply my interpretation, but a pretty clear concensus. I certainly realize that the mob is not always right - but in this case, it should at least tell you that the issue here is not simply one I made up out of whole cloth. 138.23.246.11 (talk) 06:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
