(Posting to both User talk:118.90.71.196 and User talk:Whaoa, since I assume I'm dealing with the same person in both places)
Please do not remove maintenance tags placed by other editors without either explaining the deletion or addressing the concerns raised by them. Wikipedia is a collaborative process -- no single editor can "own" an article. I'm hardly an expert on the subject--neither the current abbreviated text or the previous copyright-violation version provide enough context or background for someone who's stumbling into the subject for the first time. (Case in point: I applied the {{Maori-stub}} tag in part to call the attention of folks who are knowledgeable about Maori culture, but I had to do some searching around to be sure that this related to the Maori at all before doing so.
Please read Wikipedia's Manual of Style and the guidelines on citing sources. I'd also like to point you to the fine folks at WikiProject New Zealand, a group of editors who specialize in New Zealand-related article. I'm no expert on NZ, but I do know a thing or two about policy, and I'll happily answer further questions. Take care. --Finngall talk 00:34, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
