Édouard Souleymane Cissé (born March 30, 1978 in Pau, France) is a French football player who plays for Beşiktaş J.K. in Turkcell Super League, the top league in Turkish football. He was born in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, southwest France. He is a midfielder, 1.86 metres tall. He previously played for Monaco in France and West Ham in the English Premiership and Paris Saint-Germain. On 28 June 2007, it was confirmed that Cissé had signed a 2+1 year contract with Beşiktaş J.K. of Turkey for a fee of €1.5 million per annum.
