Yushania is a genus of bamboo always of the family Poaceae and now of the woody bamboo tribe Bambuseae and the supertribe Bambusodae which have both been experiencing many name changes.[3] The species of Yushania are evergreen, spreading, thornless bamboos that grow natively in the Himalayan, African and Taiwanese mountains at moderate to high altitudes, up to 3000 m but usually lower.

Yushania contains species that used to be Arundinaria and one that is still considered to be a Sinarundinaria by some.[4]

Yushania is also a species which is popular to cultivate.
