Yuriy Dolgorukiy class submarine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dolgorukiy class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) was designed by the Rubin Marine Design bureau. "Borey" is the Russian codename for this submarine design. The Dolgorukiy-class SSBNs are being built at the SEVMASH Shipyard, Severodvinsk. Rolled out of its construction hall into a launch dock on 15 April 2007 and launched into the water earlier in 2008, the lead unit "Yuriy Dolgorukiy" is the Russian Navy's latest strategic missile submarine.
