Yuma Expedition
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Yuma Expedition was a military operation to control the unrest of the Yuma Indians in California from December, 1851, to April, 1852.[1] This operation was part of a larger campaign to control Native Americans before the outbreak of the Civil War, and is part of the long history of Indian Wars between the United States and Native Americans.
