Yugoslav Aeronautical Museum

Aeronautical Museum (Yugoslav Aeronautical Museum) was founded in 1957 with the aim to preserve important artefacts referring to the origin and development of aeronautics in the Yugoslav regions. Being aware of deep roots and rich aeronautic tradition the Museum's founders felt obliged to attain this goal. More decades of hard work on collecting and protection of historical heritage resulted in high international respect for this institution. Due to a large number of valuable objects this museum became one of the leading institutions of this kind in the world. The collection consists of more than 200 aircraft, 130 aviation engines, more radars, rockets, various aeronautical equipment, over 20.000 referent books and technical documentation as well as more than 200.000 photographs.
