Donner lake is not part of the Yuba River Drainage. It flows to the Truckee River. The Headwaters start at Donner Pass and Flow into Lake Spaulding.

[edit] Article needs clarification

The forks do not "start" at the dams, the dams inbound the water of the forks of the Yuba.

Of course. This article needs to be expanded anyway. We could say that the fork begins in the mountains above the reservoir, and/or specifically stating which ridge the water is running off. Either way, the passages could use some clarification. --travisthurston+ 21:15, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
