If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! --Singkong2005 03:41, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Welcome also to the Wikipedia:WikiProject International development. Great to have you on board.
I notice you're interested in languages, as am I, though I only really speak two languages, so far. I might talk to you about your language learning techniques one day. I learnt a little Mandarin, but have cancelled my plans to work in China so didn't continue. But I found that mnemonic techniques (esp. image linking) were effective for initial memorization of Mandarin words, in groups of four (e.g. yi is one, aunt, chair or a hundred million, depending on tone - I find the linked images reinforce each other). People think I'm crazy when I tell them how I learn vocab. Anyway, if you ever want more detail, you ask me or can email me and I'll forward a brief email that gives some examples in Mandarin.
Anyhow, pardon my rambling, and I look forward to collaborating. --Singkong2005 03:55, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
