Yrjö Kokko

Yrjö Olavi Samuli Kokko (October 16, 1903, Sortavala – September 6, 1977, Helsinki) was Finnish veterinarian and writer. His was married to dentist Aune Ilus. He is most notable for his fairy tale Pessi and Illusia and initiating conservation work for whooper swan in Finland.[1] He was awarded with Pro Finlandia metal in 1956.
