Yrjö Blomstedt

Yrjö Reinhold Emanuel Blomstedt, (25 March 1926 in Helsinki-13 April 1994 in Helsinki). He was a Finnish historian, PhD 1958. Blomstedt took part in the politics of the Finnish students 1963-65. Between 1960 och 1964 he was docent in Finlands history at Helsinki University and was apponited professor in legal history and Roman law in 1964.

Blomstedt was very interested in genealogy (he was chairman of the Genealogical society many times) and was a publisher of many cultural journals. He published a lot of personal historical works (such as biograhpies of Johan Albrecht Ehrenström and K. J. Ståhlberg), and a few judicial histories.
