Younghusband (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Younghusband is the alias of 20 year old Euan Hinshelwood from Watford, UK. He released his first single in November, 2007, with the UK label Culture Deluxe, which received airplay from Steve Lamacq & Zane Lowe among others and was described by Drowned in Sound as 'psychedelia in dire need of a shave'. Younghusband was featured at this year's SXSW Festival at the NYLON/ Guess rooftop party, as well at Hank Sinatra's SXSW BBQ, alongside artists such as Kate Nash & Two Gallants. He was also interviewed for by Channel 4's Rockfeedback TV show as part of collaborator Emmy the Great's band. Hinshelwood is currently co-producing the debut Emmy the Great album at the Earlies' Lancashire studio.

He releases his next EP in June, shortly after a short UK tour with New York anti-folk artist Diane Cluck. He has also toured with David Bazan of Pedro the Lion and Bright Eyes collaborator David Dondero.
