Young Professionals for Charity ("YP4C") is a non-profit organisation founded in Melbourne in 2005 by over fifty young professionals who decided to turn the goodwill and admirable intentions of their peers into direct financial and volunteer support for Melbourne-based charities. This is reflected in their tagline "Get Involved. Do Good. Have a Ball."
They do this by providing links between the non-profit sector and a network of socially-conscious people in the areas of the business, science and arts communities, and staging events to help get people involved in the non-profit sector.
YP4C was formed with the mandate of increasing philanthropy and volunteerism among young professionals and raising money for specified charities. The major YP4C event is called Globall, which is staged in October of each year, and attracts over 1,500 attendees.
