Violet
Violet is the bright, piquant curly-tressed heroine of the game. She is seen wearing a pith helmet, khakis and Timberland-like trailers and is apparently of biracial African-American descent. The couple briefly featured in the screenshot picture perhaps maybe her parents(African Amer. mother, white father)She is also called a "yellow daffodil" by her uncle which may refer to her skin complexion. She also has brown freckles, a long nose(from side view), and long (loose?) "corkscrewed" curly hair pulled into a ponytail.
She must be of sixteen(16) or if not seventeen(17) years old of age as she can proficiently drive a large vehicle and is able to go out scavenging on her own. She is possibly an honors' student; she is prone to making quick, yet highly unusually intelligent studies and decisions.
Must appear as a very lovely and adventurous(nature-loving)young lady, as she is called a "pretty peony" and "adventurous azalea" by her uncle. A stalking little bird is seen to perch itself on her shoulder or hat. She tranquilly gets along with the animals and instruments although the instruments or animals don't have any speech abilities. She is also an intellectual and very mature, is a sweetie, and has a very curious inquisitive, yet quiet personality, although very brave and spunky, or "plucky" as her uncle would say. she is also seen in the game to be very vulnerable to submitting in to fear(the "lions") She must be very athletic and strong to endure heat, rampaging rhinos and run fairly fast and is quick to act and react in the more dangerous of situations that she faces.
She comes(implied) from a very close-knit, respectable family. It is seen and heard of that she is able to enter and exit her uncle's home as she pleases. Although not clarified, her cellular phone must be a sporadic spoof of a Motorola(R) Razr and its ringtone is coincidentally the Rondo from Britten's piece that is the centerfold of the game and is heard in many instances throughout the game.
* not an accurate estimate but, according to the size comparison that was made between her height and the double(string) bass', she must be at least 5"2-5"4(5'4 at the most) in height as a full-size bass is 6"0(w/o end-pin).*
* She must be in high school(11th or 12th grade?) and is seen wearing a Bluetooth (tm) headset most of the time. * Ollie calls Violet his "favorite niece" which may imply that she either has (another) sibling(s) or other cousins.
Uncle Ollie
Uncle Ollie is the wise, fair-complexioned sporadically-thought uncle of Violet's whose bright humor, calm, eager and enthusiastic persona makes the game all the more fun to play(with his exceptional guidance, that is!). He is very patient and aids Violet with his suggestions and opinionated thoughts. Ollie must be a widower; his supposed wife named Aunt Lucretia, is noted as 'deceased' in the game. Her cause of death was not expressed in the game, but on an implied note, may have been due to an unfortunate circumstance. He is seen wearing a pair of glasses, yellow sweater, blue tie(although the color changes to orange later on) and brown slacks and black shoes.
His occupation may be as a field(plant) biologist and musicologist as he is very knowledgeable on the subject of both flowers and music. He often refers to Violet to them during the course of the game.
He must also be a man of very small, or if not average stature; although he seems to be a bit taller than Violet herself. In the picture with Ollie and his wife, Lucretia is significantly taller and bigger than Ollie. Ollie must be [one of] Violet's mother's brother(s). His pet is a domesticated technology-acquainted grizzly bear named Berber, perhaps after the nomadic peoples of Northern Africa.
Ollie owns a large immaculate state-of-the-art home, equipped(as shown)with a small movie theatre and library. His home is situated in a savanna-like environment, possibly of private residency. He also must be a glutton "or love" of books (Violet claims that he owns a large volume of books and that she has " never seen so many in one place", perhaps meaning in a home)He must also be a collector of multicultural arts and busts. He also knows how to speak French.
It is not known as to where Uncle Ollie is situated during Violet's excursions, however he may just be off doing errands of his own elsewhere. He can be standoffish when appropriate and must be somewhat affluent or if not well-to-do financially.
Berber Bear
Berber is the cuddly, (yet domesticated!...) technology-acquainted grizzly bear pet of Uncle Ollie.
His first appearance was in Uncle Ollie's den(he was napping :)). He "followed" Violet during her adventure to film. He is not known to acquire or use human speech, but can understand spoken English; including orders given to him.
Violet's hypothetical 'parents'
* The parents are 'seen' but not heard of in the game. * Appear fairly young; mid-late 30s? * The couple may have provided the voices of Ollie and Violet, respectively; or may have been musicians. * No inferences, questions or references are brought up concerning her parents.
