Younews is a social media website focusing on Indian news and content. It is a Web 2.0 mash-up of social bookmarking, blogging and news syndication. The site emphasizes citizen journalism and democratization of web content submitted.
News stories and links are submitted by users to the site and other users vote on it if they think they are newsworthy. The more popular stories are published on the front page after gaining a critical number of votes. The remaining stories gather in the upcoming section of the website.
