"You and Me" is a song released by Lifehouse. Produced in 2002 and released in January 2005, it has had a major impact as it remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 62 weeks. More than three years after its release, it is still charting on the Adult Contemporary Recurrents chart, where it has been in the top 10 for 66 weeks. It peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold 809,000 copies in 2005, making it the ninth-best-selling song of that year. [1] Drummer Rick Woolstenhulme calls the track "the wedding song of the year." The song is also featured in the MTV reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, season two. On Wednesday 20th June 2007, This song was played on So You Think You Can Dance. It was also featured in The 4400 episode Life Interrupted.

The song was also used by CBS in the promotion for the series finale of JAG in which the characters of Harmon Rabb and Sarah McKenzie would be forced to deal with their feelings for each other. It has an extended version, called "You and Me (Extended Mix)".

It has also been covered in Britain by Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead.

It was also featured in Grey's Anatomy season 2.

Like many of Lifehouse's other songs (such as "Everything", which appeared in the show's Pilot), "You and Me" was featured prominently on the television series Smallville. Lifehouse performed an extended version of the single (now known as the "Wedding Version") live during the senior prom episode "Spirit".
