Yorkshire Radio is a digital only radio station broadcasting on DAB in the UK.

Although owned by Leeds United Football Club Limited, the station covers Yorkshire as a region but focuses mainly on Leeds [2]. Yorkshire Radio's studios are based at Lowfields Road, behind the east stand of Leeds United's stadium Elland Road.

Yorkshire Radio broadcasts on DAB digital radio across Yorkshire, most of Lincolnshire and the North Midlands. The station also broadcasts on the internet and on Sky Digital since July 31, 2006 but commentary of Leeds United matches is only available on the DAB feed of Yorkshire Radio or through LUTV.

Yorkshire Radio started test transmissions on June 26, 2006 and launched on July 10, 2006 on the MXR Yorkshire multiplex, replacing jazzfm.com. The first song played was I Predict a Riot by Leeds band the Kaiser Chiefs [3].

Yorkshire Radio features popular music from the 1960s to the present day, phone-in sports shows and live football commentary of all Leeds United games.

  • Memory Module A one hour show of music on a theme.
  • Saturday Night's Alright A two hour show on a Saturday night playing party music.
  • Solid Gold Sunday A Sunday morning show presented by David Boulton, featuring songs from the 1960s to the 1980s.
  • Street Select An afternoon song request show.
  • Sunday Night at the Pleasure Dome A Sunday night show playing disco music, presented by MacDaddy Cool.
  • The Match Day Programme A Saturday afternoon show of sports coverage, with commentary on the Leeds United match at 15:00 and post-match news, analysis and views from 17:00. He is joined by Norman Hunter for home fixtures and Peter Lorimer for away matches.
  • The Sound of Yorkshire A Saturday evening show from 18:00–20:00 featuring classic Yorkshire tracks and modern music from the county. The show also features band interviews and a Yorkshire gig guide.
  • The Yorkshire Fry Up A breakfast show presented every weekday from 7:00–9:00 by Ben Fry.
  • Yorkshire Mix A five hour show through the night playing non-stop music.
  • Yorkshire Today A show with music and news on Leeds United, football, rugby, cricket, racing and various other sports; presented by Ben Fry from 10:00–13:00 and Richard Stead from 15:00–18:00
  • Yorkshire Nights A nightly music and features show presented by Mark Johnson from 19:00–22:00 and three hours of love songs presented by David Boulton from 22:00-–1:00.
