Aaah most of this article reads like BS (most wiki articles do though), not that it may not be true but some references and citations would be extremely necessary! I also think a {{Story}} warning may be called for, but I'm not a stickler for wiki quility (if any).--BerserkerBen 13:14, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edits and Cuts

I found this article and worked on it a bit. The beginning was just cleaned up a bit--language clarified, etc. I made it clearer in the Donnie section that the story comes from the manga. I cut a LOT out of the descriptions of the OAV and TV series, which featured overly detailed and, in many cases, irrelevant plot description that I did not feel was appropriate for a character page. I tried to make the focus on what was important in reflecting Yomiko's character, without being ridiculously spoileriffic. I think it's cool if someone wants to re-add more detail, but it should remain focused on Yomiko's character, not what generally happens in the series, and even with a spoiler warning, I think it would be kinder to readers not to completely ruin every plot twist that appears in the anime. As it is, the cuts I made could still be taken a step further and be refined more, especially in the OAV section.

I am wondering if the Donnie Nakajima should be similarly edited--or separated into its own article? The description of Donnie spoils much of the events of the R.O.D manga; while it may be useful to provide information in this somewhat obscure character here on Wikipedia, I wonder if it should be this detailed? Especially since the events in the manga may not precisely apply to events in the other iterations of R.O.D.

Finally--anyone familiar with the novels? If so, brief comments on her character development in the novels would probably be a good idea.

  • This is a stupid suggestion, but i couldn't help but notice that no one has put that Yomiko, my love, has self-esteem issues in the series. she is less charasmatic and honstly seems to have lost most signs of happiness.

Also, she has grown weaker since she required young anitas help to make her famous paper airplane fly once again. I'd do it, but im afraid i might mess it up. if someone wont do it , then i'll just take it upon myself.

    • Yomiko's "self-esteem" issues are related directly to events happening in the OAV and TV series; though her personality overall could be better described in this article. Something I'll need to think about before attempting. As for Yomiko's powers, Yomiko demonstrates a number of times that her power or equal to or greater than that of what it is in the OAV, including her self-flown "paper rocket" she uses to get her and Anita back to Saitama after their sabotage spree in Tokyo (the second time they work together). Therefore, I've always assumed that Yomiko either genuinely needed Anita to fly the plane simply so she could focus on the tracking device, or she faked needing Anita's help in order to prove to Anita that she was more powerful and versatile than Anita gave herself credit for (which works, more or less). Either way, Yomiko seems intent on teaching Anita. DeathQuaker 02:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
  • This could use a little editing for clarity. I can't tell if she's alive or dead. Teflon Don 08:58, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Characters

Hi all, I'm just going to start a list page of characters from all R.O.D manga an anime and may link off articles like this to it. I think this would be a good idea but if you have thoughts please contact. ætərnal ðrAعon 09:57, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Image:DONNIE!WIKI!UWAAHsuucute!.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
