User fukumoto deleted the following sentence from the article: "During the 1990s, its SXT was the only X-ray telescope to monitor solar activity, and it observed an entire cycle of sunspot activity." using the reason "this is not true". If it was not the only SXR imaging telescope, then what other mission are you thinking about? Gringo.ch 16:04, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Please note that it was me who wrote it. Yohkoh was operational for ten years, not entire solar cycle of 22 years. Physics of the Solar Corona (ISBN 3-540-30765-6) Figure 1.1 has GOES solar monitor for X-ray coverage of this period. Fukumoto 01:04, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

OK, I see, you were thinking of GOES. The GOES soft X-ray instrument is not an imager, it only delivers lightcurves in two channels. So the data provided by GOES are quite different. On the other hand, SXT could really observe the morphological evolution of the corona throughout the cycle, something GOES could not do in the nineties.Gringo.ch 14:58, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
